Defect Analysis- Wafer Edge Engineer
**General Description**
Samsung Austin Semiconductor is in partnership with ManpowerGroup for their recruitment efforts. In this role you will; Perform VisEdge/CIRCL (wafer edge/bevel/backside toolset) inspections and identify abnormalities. Investigate wafer edge to support Unit Part best known methods improvement activities related to defect root source findings in LSI Fab and match them to process or tool related interactions. Review/Analyze particle scans/reviews to identify wafer edge/bevel induced particles. Understand extreme edge engineering concepts and perform additional analysis to find root cause. Arrange and submit necessary analysis to Particle Labs for further investigations. Reverse engineer wafer edge/bevel defects using structural/surface/elemental data. Specific Job Duties:
* Root source finding and prevention of defects.
* Process induced problem solving activities.
* Supporting Edge/Backside Engineering projects & work with other group engineers for defect solutions.
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
Necessary Skills / Attributes
* Min 3 years of LSI process experience.
* Bachelors or M.S Degree or equivalent Fab experience Preferred Skills:
* Knowledge of basic computer applications and reporting skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, initiation, & troubleshooting skills.
* Fundamental understanding of LSI process, Fab operations & equipment.
* Fundamental understanding of analytic techniques is a plus.
* Preferred process based knowledge, ability to narrow down defect sources.
* Minimum 2 years of semiconductor experience.
* Ability to be self-taught and a fast learner for [new/existing] toolsets.
* Ability to maintain an on-call schedule (nights/weekends) shared with coworkers.
